OUR STORY
Johnny's has been a cornerstone of York Beach for over 30 years. Before it was a candy store, it was known as Johnny's Potpourri, which sold jewelry and silk-screened clothing. Now Johnny's is known as The Candy Corner, a family owned and operated candy store that sells a delicious variety of chocolates and bulk candy, as well as primitive crafts. Husband and wife John and Agnes run the store, which is open from Patriots' Day to Columbus Day. Located in the heart of York Beach, which is known for its four stunning beaches and Nubble Lighthouse, Johnny's is the perfect place to visit if you are having, as Johnny says, "a chocolate attack!"
While Agnes is behind-the-scenes making all of the hand-made chocolates, Johnny is out front interacting with customers. Johnny is super funny and generous; he wants to make sure each customer leaves with a smile on his/her face. One Yelp user says, "I just LOVE the owner John he is a total sweetheart!!! Every time he sees us he has a huge smile on his face!!!!"
